Mental Health First Aid Training in Thirsk Jan 2020

The Clock and Thirsk Community Care’s CEO, Abigail Homer is a Mental Health First Aid England Instructor Member delivering Adult MHFA courses in the Hambleton area. The Clock and Thirsk Community Care deliver a number of services to help people improve their mental health. MHFA England is the only provider of licensed Mental Health First Aid Instructor Training in England. The Clock is now running the two day Adult Mental Health First Aid course as part of its wider training course. The two day course usually costs £300 per person but we have an introductory offer of £150 per participant.

The Clock has seen a significant rise in the number of people asking for support to improve their mental health and feels it is important that as many people as possible learn to look after their own and others’ wellbeing.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the mental health equivalent of physical first aid  and the training provides participants with the skills and confidence to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and effectively guide a person towards the right support

The next course will run in Thirsk on 27th and 28th January 2020. For more information about the course or any other courses such as Emergency First Aid at Work, contact Andy Butcher (andy@theclock.org or 01845 524494).
